Canal Crescent was founded by Candice Last to take a long-term, human-centered approach to investing. After years of managing a multi-asset portfolio across public markets, venture investments and real estate, I founded Canal Crescent to formalize a more intentional approach—one that reflects both analytical rigor and personal values.
Rooted in the belief that stewardship and strategic growth can coexist, the firm allocates capital with discipline and care—focusing on enduring businesses, public markets and ventures that create lasting value.

​The name comes from the street I grew up on. I named the firm not for nostalgia’s sake, but for what that place represented: steady growth, unseen currents and the long view. Investing, to me, is care and continuity in motion — steady, directed, quietly compounding, even when not everything is visible.
